Byron is the owner of The Maxima Group and the Managing Partner of Hometown Investment Group. He has been involved with a number of associations including: West Jefferson Levee District, Johnny Jacobs Playground, Metrovision, JEDCO and the Jefferson Business Council. He is also a Board Member of Thompson-Thibodeaux Community Development Corporation, Faith Academy School, and he currently holds a seat on the Jefferson Parish Crime Prevention and Reduction Task Force and the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation. Byron is one of only two Jefferson Parish district council members who represent both the East and West Bank of Jefferson Parish. His major initiatives since taking office, has been the institution of a Parishwide Community Healthcare Network, and Housing initiatives for low to moderate income families. He is also a vocal supporter of the Public Transit system During his time in office, Councilman Lee has made possible many milestones for the constituents of District 3, including (but not limited to): improved streets, installation of air conditioners in parish gymnasiums, school uniforms and school supplies give-away to less fortunate children, convenient and affordable healthcare, and crime fighting initiatives. Councilman Lee also initiated the first ever District 3 Crime Sweep in Jefferson Parish, which is now an ongoing effort of many officials throughout the Parish. On Thursday, September 6, 2007, Councilman Lee made history by becoming the first ever District 3 Councilman to run un-opposed for his 2nd term. This remarkable feat allows Councilman Lee to continue to make historical strides through innovative ideas and actions that befit the constituents of District 3, the Jefferson Parish Council, and Jefferson Parish from a holistic perspective. |

Byron L. Lee was elected as Councilman of District 3, Jefferson Parish on November 15, 2003 and was inaugurated into office on January 7, 2004. Byron is the husband of Karen Thompson-Lee and the proud father of two sons: Jarrett and Jourdan. Byron is a graduate of West Jefferson High School and proud alumni of Southeastern Louisiana University where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marketing.
