Seldom in the history of the State of Louisiana have we found ourselves at the intersection of seemingly insurmountable challenge and bright opportunity. As a native Louisianan, and more specifically, a life long resident of the 2nd Congressional District. I have witnessed firsthand the missed opportunities, misplaced hopes and betrayals visited upon the citizens of this State. Throughout my political career I have exhibited the qualities instilled in me by my family and my community; integrity, hard work, compassion and excellence.

Thus far, as a Jefferson Parish councilman, I have used my position to bring in more than $100 million in federal, state and local funds to create and implement legislation to address quality of life issues as articulated by my fellow parish residents. Through our joint efforts, we have reduced crime rates, provided recreational and academic opportunities for our youth, build senior citizen and community centers, created medical clinics for the underserved population, improved roads and other infrastructure assets throughout the parish and created a pro-business environment to spur economic development and job creation.

You have trusted me to make wise decisions and to formulate effective legislation over the years. I am now asking the residents of the 2nd Congressional District to elect me as the next congressman representing the district. I will bring the same energy and commitment to serve the people of Louisiana to Washington, DC as I have to Jefferson Parish.
